THE LARGER KANSAS
My close friend and former journalism professor coined the nickname “The Larger Kansas.” She attributed it to my experience with the best of both worlds in Kansas: The small-town upbringing that instilled a strong, goal-oriented work ethic and the artistic spirit, diverse thought, and business-focused mind that are inherent to city life. I wholly embrace the nickname and am glad I haven't pigeonholed myself into any singular worldview. The dichotomy still exists in me, and I feel it enhances my ability to relate to and write for any business or audience—including yours.
People refer to Kansas as a "flyover state," but for me, it's a source of inspiration.
Wherever I end up, Kansas will always be home. It taught me the importance of family, friendships, and celebrating hard work.
I know I wouldn’t have achieved what I have without my Larger Kansas background. This site is an homage to those inspirational moments in my life that made me who I am, especially the days on the farm. I'm excited to channel that creativity into new and engaging ways to help you add value to your business.
